The Grandpapa of hiplife music and member of award winning music group VVIP, Reggie Rockstone may soon contest why he still is/deserves the title ‘Oseikrom President’ as several Ghanaian artists have off late have asserted he does not deserve the title.
Among such artists is hiphop artist Cabum. However, there seems to be two Presidents now as Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah popularly known as Shatta Wale has also declared himself the new ‘Oseikrom President’.
The musician credited for hit songs such as kakai and hol’ it made this known at a recent RepeatOrRevenge boxing bout staged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi where he has over the years built a huge following and fan base.
Breaking into his performance, Shatta Wale who spends most of his weekends in the Garden City, said;
“Oseikrom, I want you to know that any day, anytime I’ll be frequent in Kumasi until you call me Oseikrom President because I want to be president in Kumasi… If anyone asks you who the Oseirkrom President is, tell him Shatta Wale”.
His declaration seems to have gone down well with the over 15,000 people who were present at the venue as they roared to his statement.
The question now remains, who is the Oseikrom President? Reggie Rockstone, Cabum or Shatta Wale?
