It’s not a big deal that Shatta Wale performs my songs

Last year December, Shatta Wale performed some songs of Samini during a street carnival in Osu dubbed S Concert and Samini says he does not have any issue with what Shatta did.
He was addressing this in an interview with Mustapha Inusah.

“I do not think it is a big deal for anyone to perform my songs, I mean when you take a look at this musical reality shows on TV, the contestants do the same thing so I do not see anything wrong with that.

“If someone decides to entertain his or her audience because your songs are doing well and are loved by the people, personally, it is not a big deal. It is even an honour for someone to even sing your song on his or her stage. This will only be done if you have done a good job. Had it not been so, I am not sure the person will do it in the first place,” he said.

During the maiden edition of the biggest street carnival, S Concert which came off on the busy commercial oxford street in Osu, Accra, Shatta Wale performed songs of Samini to prove to Ghanaians that they are all one people.
