Believe it or not, shoes and sandals can be a luxury item for some individuals – one may boast of the finest footwear and the price tag at any event or among friends.
But absolutely that is not the style of Ghana’s “most-wanted” investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The ace investigative journalist who can costume himself as a “mad person” would always want to leave a simple life in his fight against corruption.
Appearing before a five-member body hearing an impeachment petition he filed against some 34 judges cited in his recent undercover work Friday, September 18, 2015, the ace investigative journalist was simple but tastefully dressed in a sandal made from a car tyre.
Anas’ sandals locally called “Taawutu” cost US $9 on a shopping site, Alibaba.com.
Surely, Anas’ car tyre sandals may not make it to a fashion presentation in Milan, but they are a lot more durable than the luxury ones from the expensive shops.
