Video: South Sudan’s president pees himself live on television
South Sudan's president urinates on himself live on television while commissioning a road
President Salva Kiir of South Sudan accidently wet himself yesterday during the singing of the national anthem during the opening of a new road.
President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan, in office since the country’s independence on 9 July 2011, has become a viral sensation for all the wrong reasons.
As the embarrassing incident had already been shown live on television, there was unfortunately nothing that could be done to undo it.
Now 71 years old, Salva Kiir Mayardit is likely suffering from a urinary tract infection, which is common among males of his age group.
The rapidly spreading video has been met with a range of responses from around the world, with many social media users expressing divergent views.
There are those who believe the cameramen did the wrong thing by embarrassing their president, but others who believe they did the right thing by showing that he isn’t physically capable of being president.
